This is an exciting opportunity to work in CNWL Sexual Health service as a Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse.

CAMISH stands for the Camden and Islington Young People’s Sexual Health network.

It is a partnership between Brook and Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL) Sexual Health Services.

 CAMISH is a free and confidential sexual health and wellbeing service for people aged 24 and under in Camden and Islington. Services include STI testing and treatment, contraception and emergency contraception, condoms, pregnancy testing and wellbeing support.

This post is for a Band 6 RGN to work with the CNWL team at the Archway site and on outreach.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

• To maintain a high standard of nursing care and service provision, testing, treatment and management of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and screening for HIV and other blood borne infections (BBVs) (relevance dependent on site of work).

·       To inform, advice, teach and counsel clients on all methods of contraception including performing sub-dermal contraceptive implant insertion and removal.

·       To obtain clear and thorough relevant histories from patients.

·       To examine patients and obtain appropriate clinical specimens according to clinic protocol.

·       To manage a range of symptomatic and asymptomatic female and male cases including discharge, genital ulceration and genital warts. (Relevance dependent on site of work).

This role to be maintained both in the clinic environment and whilst on outreach.

Working at weekends for events is a requirement of the role. You will be required to work some evenings. A clinical session on a Sat on a rotation basis.
