Job overview

There is an exciting part-time opportunity for an enthusiastic, organised and motivated therapist to be recruited into a Band 7 position in the Urgent Community Response Team called CTT. 

You will be working with a broad spectrum of professionals in forward thinking and supportive team.

This post would be suitable for either an experienced band 7 physiotherapist looking to expand their knowledge and skills in crisis management, previous community based work is desirable but not essential.

You will receive regular supervision, training and support from highly skilled colleagues to address your learning needs and work closely with other members of the MDT.   Internal and external courses are supported as part of your CPD.

Main duties of the job

As a senior member of the team, your role is primarily to deliver face to face across the boroughs, including assessments,  group education and post assessments in line with National guidance.

As a Band 7 role you will also be expected to provide clinical education for students regularly and further develop your management skills by conducting regular supervision and appraisal for other members of the team.  

You will be joining a well-established team of supportive staff.

So what do you need to join our team?

  • To be a Registered HCPC Physiotherapist with at least 18 months post registration experience
  • Desirable community experience in a rapid response team 
  • Passion to deliver high quality care to patients with patients in crisis 
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Maintain clinical expertise by continued professional development and by encouraging and developing others
  • Evidence of participation in audit
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to large groups of people.

This is a part-time post 22.5 hours per week, including weekends. Timetable is negotiable. The role has both management and clinical responsibilities and there is opportunity for agile / home based working.

 

 

Working for our organisation

Starting with NELFT  

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment.  As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

Probationary Period 

This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).

High-Cost Area Supplement

This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,551 and a maximum payment of £5,735) (pro rata for part time staff).

Community Treatment Team provide a well-coordinated and high quality service to patients of Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge and surrounding areas, to ensure the complex needs of the client group is provided close to home and thus car driver is essential.

You will be a car owner / driver or have access to a car and a current UK driving license is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010)
