Medicine Rota and Ops Administrator
NHS AfC: Band 4
Job overview
The rota and ops administrator will be required to work equally across medical specialities. They will provide day to day management of medical rotas. They will be responsible for ensuring that that the department is running effectively and efficiently in terms of minimum safe levels and skill mix. The rota and ops administrator will also be required to provide support to the senior patient administrator and wider operational team, this may include matters relating to compliance with CERNER (Patient Administration System), data quality issues related to 18 week targets, cancer two week waits and using initiative to find out answers to queries.
The post holder will be a key part of the Medicine Division and will be expected to provide excellent communication between Hospital sites and departments to ensure that pathways are managed against departmental guidelines.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the provision of effective rota coordination for the Medicine Rotas. The post holder will closely work with the clinical rota leads, clinical administrative staff and service managers to ensure the smooth running of medical staffing rotas and management of leave.
The post holder will be a key part of the Division and will be expected to provide excellent communication between Hospital departments to ensure that absences are managed against departmental guidelines.
The post holder will be required to give a general level of administrative support to the Service Managers.
