To undertake the role of Named Nurse for safeguarding children and young people for St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (SGH), ensuring that the organisation meets its safeguarding responsibilities regarding children, young people, and families within the care of acute and community services.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is expected to have a clear understanding of how this post contributes to the achievement of the Group strategy of Outstanding Care, Together

George’s, Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals and Health Group is a new hospital group, comprising St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (SGUH) and Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust, which includes Sutton Health and Care and Surrey Downs Health and Care.

Essential
Essential criteria
- 5 years at Band 7
- RN (child) or RN AND Specialist Public Health qualification (HV or SN)
- Safeguarding Supervisor
- Safeguarding qualification (beyond L3)
- Experience in audit, reporting and quality improvement
- Management of a team
Desirable criteria
- Mental Capacity Act knowledge
- HR management

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
