Trosolwg o'r swydd

Starlight Children’s Ward is a general paediatric ward caring for babies, children and young people with a variety of acute medical and surgical conditions. We undertake level 1 critical care. We have close links with the child and adolescent mental health team and provide care for children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties. We also have close links with the children’s community nursing team, allowing us to promote early discharge where this is clinically safe, enabling patients to continue with treatment in their home. We are part of the North Thames Paediatric Network which provides us with education and training links to Barts Health and Great Ormond street Hospital.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced band 5 or 6 children’s nurse looking to undertake a role in clinical education. Experience of teaching and supporting learners in clinical practice is essential for this role.  If you are dynamic, passionate flexible and proactive, looking for a new challenge and want to be part of a developing team then we would be pleased to hear from you. You will need to be a Registered Nurse (Child)/RSCN, who has undertaken your practice assessor training and has an understanding of paediatric critical care. You will be an expert role model who is confident in your practice and able to provide leadership and support to junior staff and students.
