An opportunity has arisen for the role of a Patient Blood Management Practitioner on a 15months fixed term to join the Hospital Transfusion Team at UCLH Foundation Trust. We are looking to appoint an experienced, dynamic nurse with a significant post registration experience of blood & blood product transfusion practice, in the clinical setting.

This position requires a flexible, confident individual who can demonstrate excellent communication & interpersonal skills. You will be expected to consult with all levels of staff involved in the transfusion process across the Trust. The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team is essential.

This post has a Trust wide remit which includes transfusion education / training of clinical staff, risk management and clinical audit. The role will be crucial working across the trust to promote better use of blood and blood products and educating and prompting use of alternatives to transfusion.

Together with the Transfusion Practitioners, you will be promoting awareness of the current regulatory and statutory requirements that impact on transfusion practice & support the delivery of measures to ensure compliance. Appropriate experience is required.
