Redbridge CAMHS is undertaking an exciting service transformation that's looking for a person who is both experienced in children and young person's mental health services as well as an extensive track record for major service transformation and project management.

In the next 2 years, Redbridge CAMHS will be part of a whole system transformation of children and young person mental health that includes the implementation of I Thrive model across schools, GP surgeries and CAMHS.

 

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

The post holder will lead work with key internal and external stakeholders to implement service improvements and service redesign utilising a project management methodology, orientated toward supporting service redesign, and addressing existing operational and equality challenges, to support the organisation.

The post holder will understand and contribute towards NELFT achieving its annual efficiency savings for their allocated programme, whilst removing waste, improving processes, outcomes quality and both staff and service user experience.

 The post holder may provide and receive highly complex, highly sensitive or highly contentious information, where developed persuasive, motivational, negotiating, training, empathic or re-assurance skills are required. This may be because agreement or co-operation is required or because there are barriers to understanding.

 The role will involve the development and facilitation of workshops applying process mapping and lean methodology along with other service improvement tools to bring about significant increases in quality, efficiency, and productivity. The role will also ensure the capture of learning from the portfolio programmes by competing After Action Reviews (AAR) and sharing both the outcome of the portfolio and programmes of work with the lessons learnt.

Starting with NELFT  

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment.  As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

 

 

Probationary Period 

This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).

 

High-Cost Area Supplement

This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,313 and a maximum payment of £5,436) pro rata for part time staff.

  1. Lead, manage and deliver Trust wide transformation programmes to ensure plans are robust and sufficiently detailed to provide the assurance that delivery will result in service quality improvement/development and efficiency savings.
  2. Work closely with the named, Assistant Director of the Portfolio, other Transformation Specialists, and the NELFT Transformation Portfolio Management Office (TPMO) to ensure all programmes and projects of work are co-ordinated, complementary and understand any co-dependencies.
  3. Develop and initiate new projects including the support and development of effective project documentation and management for any project within the programme including Project PIDs, Business Cases, Project Plans, Workbooks, risk and issue logs and the formation of Project Steering Boards and teams.
  4. Manage, monitor, report and track the progress of programmes and projects, ensuring that the intended benefits are achieved with outcomes maximised.
  5. Successfully manage expectations on programme deliverables, working alongside key stakeholders to understand and interpret potential constraints /risks to programme objectives. To raise risks and barriers to relevant parties in a timely manner, following NEFLT assurance and governance processes.
  6. Where appropriate delegate programme and project work effectively and ensure that this is completed as required within the agreed timescales
  7. Act as a source of project management and transformation expertise for stakeholders and all NELFT staff.
  8. Ensure the project management approaches taken remain flexible and dynamic and responsive to change at local and national level.
  9. Identify new opportunities for efficiencies and productivity, leading on plans for the delivery of these projects.

10. Ensure all work streams are in line with the Trusts strategies, corporate objectives and contribute to the Transformation Programme and support achievement of KPIS and outcome-based commissioning.

  1. Build constructive and effective relationships with colleagues and staff at all levels, effectively utilising relationships, and informal networks to achieve delivery of targets.
  2. When necessary, use persuasive, diplomatic and motivational skills to break down barriers of misunderstanding by employing a high level of interpersonal and communication skills and striving for a collaborative and early resolution of any highly contentious matters.
