Job overview

NELFT are currently recruiting for an innovative and enthusiastic Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join their Community Rehabilitation Service.  If you would like to get a taster of stroke and neurology, this would be the perfect opportunity!

There is a potential that although the post is currently permanent in the Community Rehab Service, that it may become part of a rotation within NELFT in the future.  This can be further discussed at interview.

The Community Rehabilitation Service is a multi-disciplinary therapy team providing assessment and rehabilitation for those with a range of progressive or acquired neurological conditions.

The team works across and has bases in the boroughs of Havering and Barking and Dagenham.  The work is community based, involving seeing individuals within their homes and/or local community.  Therefore, being able to travel efficiently and effectively across the two boroughs is essential.

The service works closely with our colleagues across the Stroke and Neurology pathway including our Stroke Unit at Meadow Court, Goodmayes Hospital, and our team of specialist nurses in PD, MND and MS to aid us in the holistic management of our patients.

We are aware that as this is a band 5 post applicants may have limited experience in the field of neurology.  The team and Trust are fully committed to supporting staff members development, providing appropriate training, supervision and appraisal.
