· Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
· CCT or equivalent
· Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it
· Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it
· Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST

We are currently recruiting to an Adult Consultant Psychiatrist position in the Havering Early Intervention in Psychosis Team, based at 137-145 Church Road, Harold Wood, Romford, RM3 0SH. This is an established, substantive, part-time role – 5 PAs. We wish to recruit to this role as soon as possible.
You will join another 0.5wte Consultant Psychiatrist, 1wte Specialist Grade Doctor, and 1wte CT1-3 doctor within the service, and will have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
You will be expected to:
· Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to people with first onset psychosis and those potentially at high risk of developing psychotic disorders, across Havering
· Provide senior medical support to the team, and direct input on clinal cases
· Provide guidance and supervision to the team
· Work directly with young adult people (and their families), and liaise as appropriate with other external mental health providers, and acute hospitals
· Participate in the on-call rota frequency is currently 1:50, with a 3% of basic salary, Category A on-call supplement (pro-rata)
· Support their peers and team manager and be an effective team member whilst working on their own initiative and supervise junior colleagues
· Have a commitment to collaborative working and actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals and agencies
· Play a key role in developing strong links with the services, including Neighbourhood Teams, Primary Care Networks and any relevant third sector resource within Havering
· Develop systems to reach out to hard reach communities to identify people who need EIP and EDP Service input
· Develop further links already established with the local acute trusts’ A&E departments and inpatient wards, in order to continually improve our services
