Job overview

We are looking for a motivated administrator to join us in the newly build Community Diagnostic Centre based at Ealing Hospital, to work in the Cardiology Physiology department. 

You must be proficient in the use of Excel, Outlook and Word and confident in the use of computer databases and booking systems as you shall be booking follow-up appointments for patients, or discharging them, as well as maintaining patient, RTT and appointment data.

The role is essential for the accurate capture of clinical activity data and requires a person with the flexibility, adaptability and focus to meet competing priorities and changing working practices.

Main duties of the job

  • Work as part of the Community diagnostic centre multi-disciplinary team, including providing support to Respiratory and Phlebotomy services where required.
  • Providing an efficient administrative and reception service
  • Record all outpatient attendances (cashing-up) on the Patient Access System
  • Book appointments, discharge back to the GP and/or add to waiting lists as required
  • File documents according to Information Governance policy
  • Communicate with patients, visitors and staff in a professional and courteous manner
  • Communicate effectively using all available forms of communication
  • Maintain an uncluttered and tidy reception area
  • Maintain reception areas in a hygienic and sanitary condition including cleaning and wiping of surfaces
  • Support the Managers and Supervisors in developing a patient focused service
