Job overview

Exciting opportunity to lead Occupational Therapy in Medical, Surgical and Respiratory teams with Ealing Hospital. 

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist with strong clinical and leadership skills to continue to develop and deliver our service within a busy acute environment.

The applicant will need considerable experience within the medical field as well as experience of managing other staff and students. Strong interpersonal skills will be required as well as the ability to lead a team and the drive and enthusiasm to develop the service.

Developmental opportunities may be considered.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide sensitive and specialised clinical advice to patients and their carers re assessments, treatments and care plans
  • To be the lead clinician within the MDT responsible for discharge planning of patients with complex, sensory, physical and cognitive needs 
  • Promote awareness of the OT role within the MDT, negotiating priorities as appropriate
  • Take a lead in facilitating training events and formally presenting information to other OT, PT and MDT staff and students
  • Supporting the team lead with day to day team management and supervising junior staff
