Job overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic individual to join our team in the inpatient unit at Meadow House Hospice.
We are passionate about improving our service and delivering high quality, individualised care to our patients. Our staff's are at the centre of everything we do. We offer support throughout your time with us, with regular personal development reviews and individualized objectives to support professional and personal development with in the unit.
Main duties of the job
MAIN DUTIES:
To ensure patients’ comfort, safety and dignity at all times.
To assist patients with all activities of daily living they are unable to carry out for themselves.
To support patients in meeting their psychosocial and spiritual needs.
To assist with admissions to the unit by ensuring patients and their carers are greeted in a
welcoming and courteous manner.
To support trained nurses in ensuring the safe discharge of patients from the unit.
To demonstrate an understanding and awareness of and respect for the multicultural needs of
patients and their carers.
To assist with maintenance of safety on the unit at all times.
To ensure infection control procedures are complied with at all times.
To participate in internal rotation within the in-patient unit.
To work temporarily in Day Hospice if required.
To attend unit meetings and debriefing sessions as required.
To take responsibility for meeting own mandatory training requirements in a timely manner.
