An opportunity has arisen for a full time Administrator to join the Foot and Ankle team at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital to support the Unit and team in all administrative tasks / electronic referral system / Overseeing the follow up appointments / Typing.

We are seeking an experienced administrator who has previous or current knowledge with hospital processes or similar, which includes:
- Electronic Via Pathpoint & ERS referral registration
- Tertiary referrals
· Knowledge of booking outpatient appointments
· Electronic scanning of patients notes
You must have admirable communication skills, be able to work effectively in a multi – disciplinary team, using your own initiative when prioritizing your workload as well as being able to lead and maintain high standards of care alongside our trust values.
You should be able to work well under pressure and be able to multi-task in this busy but friendly working environment

Handle all referrals into the unit via ERS / PATHPOINT or tertiary referral and highlighting any urgent referrals to the clinical team
Book all follow up patients via the contact centre within RTT guidelines
Monitor all clinic slots and advise of any conflicting appointments and increased / decreased activity
Register all patients capturing all patient demographics correctly and accurately and recording the patients RTT pathway in “real time”
Work as part of a team with medical secretaries within the Unit to ensure a high quality service is maintained at all times during office hours.
Work with the unit manager in day to day running of the unit.
Deal with all incoming telephone enquiries from Consultants, GP’s. Other medical secretaries and patients.
Undertake scanning onto the trust electronic notes system of all correspondence, clinic notes, test results etc

Qualifications

- Good standard of English, both written and spoken including grammar
- Educated to GCSE ‘O’ level or equivalent
- Numerate
Experience

- Experience of working within multi-disciplinary teams in Hospital setting or similar
- General Patient Administrative Systems
- Knowledge of hospital admin processes or similar

- Experience with Electronic Hospital Referral systems to include ERS/PATHPOINT
