The Cytogenetics, Immunophenotyping, Histopathology and Molecular Diagnostics laboratories provide essential diagnostic services for the Trust, SW London cancer network and external users. This work is dependent on the Cancer Diagnostics Central Specimen Reception. The key roles consist of sample collection, data entry, sample prioritisation and distribution. The post holder will be the first point of contact for internal and external clinical users and couriers. The specimen reception is open from 8.30 to 5.30pm and so the post holder will be required to participate on a shift system on a rotational basis to provide this
cover.

laboratory support duties described below.
