Trauma Focussed Therapist - 1 year, 0.6WTE
NHS AfC: Band 8a
We have been working together in a Partnership between Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust and Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust for some time, with a single Chair and Chief Executive since 2021 and single Executive Team since 2022. We launched our North London Mental Health Partnership Strategy in May 2023 and in July 2023 our Boards agreed that coming together to create one new Trust is best for our service users, our staff and our local communities. Subject to final approvals, we will be formally established as one new Trust on 1 October 2024.
Our new trust website is: Home | North London Mental Health Partnership

Do you enjoy working with complex PTSD? Are you qualified and experienced in the delivery of trauma focussed therapies? Well, this might be the role for you!
The Haringey cPTSD pathway is looking for a suitably qualified mental health professional to see service users from our waiting list for trauma focussed therapy. This will be a band 8a post and ideally three days a week (0.6) for a year. But we are open to other options for right candidate.
You will be part of a well functioning, creative and dynamic multidisciplinary team and attend weekly team meetings to received support and advice regarding your patients, so they are held by the team rather than just by you as an individual.
You would have access to regular specialist clinical supervision. We might ask for you to get involved in other team responsibilities from time to time for example carrying out assessment or providing specific training/consultation around trauma.

· Contribute to wider discussions (e.g. in team meetings) about clinical cases and the strategic and operational functioning of the team.
· Other duties as needed especially in relation to your service users e.g. linking with the crisis team, liaising with external agencies, assessments.
· To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures.
· To attend and engage in regular supervision (receiving) for your trauma focused therapy cases.
