Job overview
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Team Administrator with a wide range of office skills to provide support to the Hillingdon Community Learning Disability Team. The post is based at the Civic Centre in Uxbridge and the potential candidate will be required to on site supporting the team.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will be the primary point of contact for the team and will be responsible for managing all enquires that come into the service, in a manner responsible to customer needs and in accordance with consent to share information.
Other duties include providing support to the wider multidisciplinary team, which includes the management of referrals, processing letters, minute taking; receiving and disseminating information; maintaining an electronic patient database and other general administrative duties.
The postholder will also be responsible for reviewing the team's KPI's and inform staff when potential breaches are likely to occur so that these can be addressed. They will also be responsible for providing nominal cover to the Medical Administrator during periods of leave.

The Community Learning Disability Team is located in the Civic Centre in Uxbridge. The service is located close to the Beaufort House and Riverside Mental Health Centre, which are both CNWL sites. Uxbridge high street is easily accessible and is served by the local Intu Shopping Centre and a range of restaurants and coffee shops.
Access to Uxbridge is via the Metropolitan and Piccadilly tube lines which makes for a relatively straightforward commute.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To provide an efficient and effective administrative support to the Community Learning Disability Team. The postholder will be expected to work without immediate supervision and to ensure that all duties are carried out to a high standard in liaison with clinical and managerial staff.

Education/ Qualifications
Essential criteria
- GCSE or other equivalent qualification
- RSA III or NVQ III or 3 years secretarial experience
Desirable criteria
- European Computer Driving Licence
Previous Experience
Essential criteria
- Relevant qualification or experience plus substantive secretarial experience
- Experience of providing receptionist duties and dealing with members of the public both face to face and on the phone.
- Experience of working with staff at senior level
- Experience of working in health or health related environment
Desirable criteria
- Work within multidisciplinary teams.
Skills and Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Familiarity with the use of medical reference or related software
Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
