Job overview

To take responsibility to engage the trust’s internal and external audiences through the use of writing copy for news articles, use of digital channels, creating accurate, appealing; timely and consistent copy and digital media. This role will use a high level of creativity as well as the ability to use data driven insights to help us expand our digital footprint and drive more value through online content.

The role is part of the trust’s communications and engagement team. The role will also play a key part in creating digital content for the Trust social media channels, utilising video, photography, podcasts and social media skills.

Working Times: Full time Monday to Friday 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm, onsite minimum 3 days

Main duties of the job

·        Be responsible to sourcing and writing news articles for internal and external audiences

·         Manage the Trust podcast production

·         Enhance own performance through continuously developing own knowledge, skills and behaviours to meet the current and future requirements of the job and respond to the learning needs of the trust.

·         Maintain the Trust training courses and contribute to own personal development by participating in annual appraisal with line manager, developing a PDP, and actively participating in agreed learning activities and evaluating effectiveness of learning in relation to role.

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust’s services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.
