Job overview

To work at The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as Deputy Lead Radiographer for Nuclear Medicine. The service provides SPECT, SPECT CT and standalone CT service and is located within radiology department at Hillingdon Hospital.

The Radiology Service, at Hillingdon Hospital, operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with core hours between 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday.  The Nuclear Medicine service operates 8am to 5pm every day excluding weekends. The post holder will be expected to support Nuclear Medicine and participate in the shift system during operational hours. 

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to provide a high standard of radiographer led Nuclear Medicine service to clinicians, patients, their comforter and carers and Nuclear Medicine associated service providers. 

To post holder will be expected to be an effective member of the Radiology team, be a role model for radiographic staff, provide clinical leadership and undertaking managerial responsibilities and maintain quality standards. 

The post holder should have a postgraduate in Nuclear Medicine and be willing to extend their scope of practice in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology.
