Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Talking Therapies Waltham Forest Improving Access to Psychological Service for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join the management team.
Aim of the role:
The post holder will be expected to support their team, department and organisation to achieve the Trust’s Values in their day to day work. These are the 5Ps:

The successful applicant would be required to stay in the role for a minimum of 6 months.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will achieve this by:
Offering evidence-based practice in facilitated self-help, individually by phone and face-to-face and in groups, and will develop, support and train innovative practice to trainee IAPT psychological well-being practitioners (PWPs), to other workers qualified to act in PWP roles and to Primary Care colleagues, such as health visitors, community matrons, etc., and to our colleagues in non-statutory organizations.
In addition, there is a significant case management, line management and clinical supervision component to the post and this is an opportunity for qualified and experienced IAPT PWPs, low intensity workers who are enthusiastic and excited by the development of low intensity services to share their interest and passion, and to develop these qualities and skills in others.
The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and may be called upon to work in various community settings
The post holder will line manage trainee low intensity workers and IAPT PWPs under the direction of the Waltham Forest Talking Therapies IAPT Senior Team.
The post holder will hold an accredited Post Graduate Certificate, Diploma or accredited Top Up Certificate in Low Intensity CBT based interventions.

Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
High Cost Area Supplement – London
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,108 and a maximum payment of £5,177 per annum pro rata).
