An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fixed term (6 month) position of Immunisation Co-ordinator for the Borough of Greenwich. The post holder will be part of the Borough Based Primary Care team, reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Primary Care (Greenwich).
We are particularly keen to receive applications from practice nurse colleagues experienced in immunisations and vaccinations who are looking to take the next step in their development and leadership journey. The postholder will be responsible for: · Maximising the uptake of vaccines in line with the national requirements. · Clinical leadership including: o advice on the delivery of vaccination programmes in Primary Care o Enabling connections between relevant stakeholders across Greenwich, including schools, comms and engagement teams, public health and healthcare providers.

Main duties of the job
Main Duties of the job/advert text · To maximise the uptake of vaccines in line with local expectations and national requirements. · Work with practices to take on a whole systems approach to immunisations, including: · Using population health management to identify challenges, opportunities and risks, enabling a community/person-led approach to service delivery · Liaising and enabling connections between key stakeholders such as local authorities, schools, primary care, school-aged immunisation services, trusts, comms and engagement teams, particularly those focused on community engagement and development. · Provide regular progress updates / reports to the Immunisation SRO, local primary care teams, public health and SEL assurance team by reviewing, analysing and presenting highly complex information and datasets from multiple sources · Provide feedback to practices and the ICS about issues and concerns around immunisation · Source guidance and training where relevant, practicable and helpful and develop and implement mechanisms for sharing learning and good practice across the Borough.

Essential criteria
- Master’s degree or equivalent professional qualification or management experience or Knowledge acquired through experience or training
- Evidence of continued professional development

- Experience of drafting briefing papers and correspondence for a senior audience
- Demonstrated experience in a Healthcare environment
- Experience of setting up and implementing internal processes and procedures relevant to own field
- Experience or working knowledge of the NHS organisational environment
Skills and abilities

- Ability to analyse very complex issues where material is conflicting and drawn from multiple sources
- Ability to apply advanced influencing and negotiation skills necessary to achieve successful outcomes, e.g. when working with directors, senior managers and staff representatives
- Ability to prepare and produce concise and accurate communications for dissemination to a broad range of stakeholders as required
- Ability to develop and maintain networks of relationships that facilitate the achievement of individual and team objectives
- Demonstrated capability to plan over short, medium and long-term timeframes and adjust plans and resource requirements accordingly
