Job overview

We are seeking an experienced Digital Project Manager to join our team, focusing on delivering our comprehensive digital transformation programme. This exciting role combines technical infrastructure initiatives (such as cloud migration, data centre transformation, and network modernisation) with clinical systems implementation and healthcare workflow improvements.

The role will provide leadership and expertise to the team, ensuring the delivery of effective, efficient, and customer-focused digital services. The post holder will be responsible for managing assigned projects within our programme management framework, developing comprehensive project plans, and delivering priorities aligned with our strategic objectives.

This key position will drive the development and day-to-day running of the Trust's digital programmes, leading service redesign initiatives and supporting the delivery of quality, cost-effective digital solutions in collaboration with stakeholders across the organisation.

Main duties of the job

·       Leading complex digital transformation projects from inception to completion

·       Managing project budgets and resources effectively

·       Developing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships

·       Ensuring project delivery aligns with NHS standards and best practices

·       Coaching and supporting team members to achieve project objectives

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in IT, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or related field
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent project / programme management certification (e.g., MSP, APM PMQ).
  • ITIL Foundation certification

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale technical infrastructure projects, including cloud migration initiatives, data centre transformation, and network modernisation programs.
  • Experience in managing complex technical projects within regulated environments
  • Evidence of strong stakeholder management capabilities across all organisational levels, including conflict resolution and negotiation.
  • Demonstrable experience in service improvement and change management, driving process optimisation and quality outcomes.
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams (both technical and clinical), ensuring collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
