Job overview
To provide a full and comprehensive PA role to multiple consultants and medical staff within the Specialist Services Network including all CPA work for those consultants.
Main duties of the job
You will be a well-organised and experienced secretary with knowledge of medical terminology. You will ensure all consultants and clinicians within your area of responsibility are organised and equipped to fulfil their responsibilities. Appropriate electronic and paper filing systems will be maintained, along with coordinating their clinical activities.
To carry out all relevant tasks pertinent to the Specialist role of the Consultant Psychiatrist and Medical staffing.

Person specification
Essential
Essential criteria
- Recognised competency based level 3 qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. NVQ, B-TEC QCF, Apprenticeship), or equivalent demonstrable experience
- Previous medical secretary experience or equal demonstrative experience
- Patient Confidentiality
- The ability to prioritise and plan conflicting and complex work demands
- The ability to work part of a team
- The ability to navigate IT systems, inc Excel, Word and PowerPoint
