Job overview

To provide a responsive, comprehensive, and innovative administrative service to the multi-disciplinary team, liaising  with external agencies, other members of staff, and service users, on their behalf, to ensuring their needs, and the needs of the service are met.

Main duties of the job

This Administrator post will predominantly work along side the Achieve Harm Reduction Team and the main duties will include downloading blood-borne virus (BBV) results onto an Excel spreadsheet with accuracy and efficiency. Informing the appropriate staff via e-mail and inputting onto our recording systems. The overseeing of stock ordering and distribution of sterile equipment for Needle exchange provision for pharmacy and fixed base sites across the footprint  Additionally, you will be providing essential support to the team by assisting with general administrative tasks. Your role is crucial in ensuring that information is organized and readily accessible for the team to make informed decisions and provide the best possible care for patients. Your attention to detail and ability to multitask will be key in maintaining the smooth operation of the team.

Education and Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Recognised competency-based level 2 qualification
  • Database/spreadsheet experience.
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent demonstrable experience

Knowledge and Experience

Essential criteria
  • Demonstrate Administrative Experience
  • Have experience of working in an environment that ensures confidentiality is maintained at all times
  • Demonstrate ability to work without close supervision using own initiative to meet set deadlines.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of team work
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working within community addictions services
  • Knowledge around handling clinic documents such as medication sheets and prescriptions

Skills and Abilites

Essential criteria
  • Must be able to demonstrate excellent organisation/time management skills and the ability to manage your time effectively, along with that of the consultants/managers/associated professional team.
  • Must demonstrate good literacy and accuracy skills and have conscientious approach to work.
