Are you an experienced Band 5 Occupational Therapist or existing Band 6 seeking an opportunity to gain experience within a specialist areas?

Then this is the place for you!

Salford is a high-achieving team with an excellent reputation for innovative working. The team consists of Occupational therapists, Community assessment officers, Wheelchair therapists, and Rehab engineer technicians as well as benefitting from a fully integrated equipment and adaptations service.

The role will require screening new referrals, carrying out functional assessments, and identifying risks to people within their own homes or within a clinic setting. You will use your skills and knowledge around specialist equipment, moving and handling, complex housing adaptations, and use of the Disabled facilities grant (DFG).

The service offers a comprehensive induction, regular supervision, and CPD opportunities to support your role and development.  

A degree or diploma in Occupational therapy is essential along with state registration with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HPCP)

We are looking for an experienced therapist at a Band 5 level or existing Band 6 with community experience who is well organised, seeking an opportunity to develop their skills across the areas of Moving and Handling, Equipment provision and Major home adaptations at a Band 6 level.  You will need to be enthusiastic, motivated and an appropriately experienced practitioner.  You will need to be a registered Occupational Therapist who can demonstrate your commitment, enthusiasm and drive to develop your own clinical and team working skills within the service.

You must be able to communicate effectively at all levels, work autonomously and be able to demonstrate effective teamwork. You will provide high quality care in an appropriate and timely manner which is responsive to patients needs whilst adhering to recognised policies and guidelines.
