An opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Team Leader Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to work within the clinical specialty of Acute Medicine at Fairfield General Hospital in Bury. We would welcome you to join our dynamic and supportive team. Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

Within this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of highly skilled Physiotherapists/Occupational Therapists, working closely with the MDT based on the rehabilitation unit on ward 24.

You will have NHS experience and provide support to the team to perform specialist assessment/ treatment of patients admitted through the acute medical pathway to facilitate their ongoing management and discharge into community services.

You will gain experience of working in a busy and pro-active environment where evidence-based practice is embedded and joint working, service development and CPD is encouraged. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced band 6 looking to progress in their career or an existing band 7 wanting to specialise in this dynamic clinical area.

As a band 7 you will  receive support from your peers and from the Band 8 Operational & Professional Therapy Lead.  You will be expected to provide supervision to more junior staff and students. 

You will also be expected to support the Operational and Professional Lead with clinical governance action plans and service development/implementation.

The service operates over 6 days and is working towards a 7 day model and therefore there is an expectation to be flexible in terms of working patterns. Some weekend working and bank holidays are required as part of the role and extra hours if necessary. This is a full-time post, however, the options for working hours will be discussed with the successful applicant.
