An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Wigan Edit Team for a Team Administrator.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced administrator who enjoys working as part of a team and can demonstrate a commitment to delivering a high quality administration support in an efficient and timely manner.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, IT competency in Word, Excel and Outlook and a broad range of administrative experience.  You will be part of a team of administrators providing admin cover to our service users, clinicians and other health professionals. 

If you have a flexible approach and the ability to adapt to changing priorities, this will be an excellent opportunity to develop your skills.

The Team Administrator will be responsible for providing a comprehensive and confidential administrative support to the Wigan Edit Team.

The post holder will provide an administrative function to the managers, minute taking of meetings, typing of letters, filing, diary management and other general administrative duties.

Education / Qualifications

  • Typing/WP RSAIII or equivalent or demonstrable experience

  • GCSE Grade A-C English or equivalent ECDL NVQ3 Business Administration

Experience

  • Experience of working in an office environment. Arranging meetings and taking minutes

  • Audio Typing experience. Experience of working within the NHS or related healthcare experience. Experience of dealing with members of the public.

Knowledge

  • Extensive knowledge of office procedures. Knowledge of Microsoft Office eg Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel.

  • Awareness of Recovery Model. Awareness of children/vulnerable adults guidelines.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills. Good interpersonal and organisational skills. Ability to work as member of a team. Ability to develop, operate and maintain filing systems both manual and electronic. Ability to develop effective interpersonal relationships with colleagues in the health care setting. Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of settings. Able to deal with sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy. Able to present factual information and refer questions to others where appropriate. Ability to prioritise own workload and work to defined timescales. Ability to work on own initiative.
