Job overview
The post holder will ideally have experience of clinical practice within the urgent care setting, preferably with prior experience of community based urgent care services. The post holder will agree a plan of care collaboratively with service users and their carers.
The post holder will always follow agreed practice guidelines and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The post holder should be committed to the delivery of high-quality mental health services and contribute to ongoing service development.
The post holder will be expected to cover night duties, on a rotational basis and weekend working is required at times.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as part of the urgent care team and may be asked to work in other areas of urgent care such as A & E Liaison.
The post holder will be expected to work shift patterns across a 24 hour period.
The post holder will be expected to contribute to the development of urgent care services.
The post holder will follow safeguarding policies and protocols for children and vulnerable adults and share relevant information with other agencies as appropriate.
The post holder will be aware of and act within the requirements of the Mental Health Act (1983), and other relevant legislation at all times,
The post holder will participate in team meetings and activities as directed by senior staff.
The post holder will work effectively with Urgent Care and Trust colleagues.
The service offers an alternative to hospital, follow up following inpatient admission, home treatment interventions, supporting those who may have been placed under 136 MHA and acting as gatekeeper to all inpatient admissions.

- • Must be registered with NMC, Sub Part 1 Mental Health or equivalent Professional body.
- Experience of risk assessment and risk management,

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
