Job overview

An opportunity has arisen for a part-time band 3 Team Administrator, to provide a comprehensive and efficient administration service for our Eating Disorders team at Gaskell House.

The service supports clients by delivering specialist high quality care with a focus on improving psychological wellbeing as well as physical health monitoring.

We require a highly motivated, dynamic individual with excellent communication and organisational skills, who has an interest and positive attitude to working with members of the public.   Experience of working within a mental health would be desirable.

Applicants must demonstrate secretarial/administrative experience and have an organised and flexible approach, with the ability to prioritise your workload and relate to all types of people.  Your excellent IT and interpersonal skills will also ensure that you’ll have no trouble fitting into this interesting role.


Flexibility can be given in terms of working days/hours.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the role will be to support the Eating Disorders clinical team, with tasks such as: inputting referrals, sending letters, booking rooms, taking minutes and updating the clinical record system.  The post holder will be the link between clients and clinicians. The role will include raising requisitions, and ordering stationery and clinical equipment for the team as well as scanning, photocopying and completing monthly data as requested.

Education/Qualification

Essential criteria
  • RSA Level 3 word processing, or equivalent demonstrable experience
Desirable criteria
  • ECDL or equivalent Qualification or working towards
