Assistant Audiologist

Assistant Audiologist Band 3
Part time 30 hours/week
We are looking for an Assistant Audiologist to join our busy Clinical Audiology and hearing implant department.
The department provides a full hearing assessment, hearing aids and hearing implant service to adults and children of all ages.
There is contact with the public. You will be responsible for providing basic maintenance and repair of hearing aids and hearing implants in our drop-in repair service for patients. You will also provide support on equipment and communication techniques that can help people with hearing loss. In addition, you will liaise with theatre staff in the distribution of implant devices and help audiologists in the performance of their duties. You will be responsible for liaising with IT and calibration services in providing the necessary work required in updating equipment within the department.
Full training will be given. The successful applicant will have good basic education with a minimum of 5 GCSE passes including Science, Maths and English with excellent computer and technical skills. Experience of working with the public is desirable.
