Job overview
We are seeking a high motivated and experienced Digital IT Support Manager.
The IT Support Manager will oversee our Digital Support & Technology team. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth operation of our systems, manage a team of IT professionals, and implement effective IT strategies to support our healthcare services. A driving licence and ability to travel to all MFT sites is required.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the IT support team and manage daily operations.
- Ensure the reliability and security of IT systems across all hospitals.
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with other departments to understand and meet their IT needs.
- Manage IT projects and ensure timely completion.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the team.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Post graduate qualification or equivalent level of experience within IT
- ITIL Foundation Level qualification
- Evidence of Personal Development
Desirable criteria
- Degree or equivalent qualification in an IT related subject
- ITIL Practitioner Level
- Management Qualification
Experience / Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Knowledge Extensive technical background in IT working in an Infrastructure support role
- Significant experience in working in a large, complex, multi-site IT environment
- Proven knowledge and experience of leading a customer focused Digital Support services using Service Level Agreements KPIs.
- Substantial knowledge and experience in the management and use of Industry standard service desk systems and call distribution systems
- Experience in a responsible managerial IT services role
- Experience in service continuity / disaster recovery planning
- Knowledge of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Best Practice
Desirable criteria
- Degree or equivalent qualification in an IT related subject
- ITIL Practitioner Level
- Management Qualification
- Previous experience in NHS IT environment
- Knowledge of ITIL and SDI practices
- Knowledge of ITIL compliant service management tools
- Good working knowledge of wide range of IT Skills – Server and PC Environment, including Microsoft Office Packages, Microsoft SCCM
