Sister/Charge Nurse - Haematology Day Unit

Are you an experienced adult nurse ready for a new challenge? We have an opportunity for a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse to join the Haematology Day Unit, a fast paced unit caring for patients with a range of malignant and non-malignant Haematology conditions undergoing treatments such as chemotherapy.
The Trust is a center of excellence for care and research and you will be expected to work with the rest of the nursing team and liaise very closely with other members of the MDT to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care and experience.
Hours will be worked over 5 days 08:00 - 16:00 with flexibility if required.

The job is challenging and interesting as the treatments are different for each patient and so their care and needs are different too. The trials and protocols are varied and there's lots to learn. We are a friendly, experienced team, who have high standards and strive to deliver excellent patient care. We are aware that it's hard work, but this is a perfect opportunity for the right person looking to extend their skills.
You will have;
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Evidence of involvement in change management
Evidence of diplomacy and negotiation skills
Good knowledge of clinical information systems e.g. PAS and ICE
Relevant professional qualification
A portfolio of evidence showing achievements in practice/specialty
