An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Endoscopy Unit at The Royal Oldham Hospital. We are recruiting an endoscopy trained nurse for a 10 months secondment to cover a maternity leave.
Our endoscopy unit is dynamic undertaking a wide range of therapeutic and diagnostic endoscopic procedures for both inpatients and outpatients. You need to be flexible, hardworking and appreciate the need for professional development within your clinical practice to ensure we establish a responsive and effective team.

Main duties of the job
Reporting to the Endoscopy Unit Manager you will be responsible for the decontamination of endoscopes, assisting endoscopists in the procedure room, be the patients named nurse acting as their advocate ensuring privacy and dignity throughout the endoscopy journey.
You will be able to demonstrate good leadership skills, be adaptable to a changing environment and possess good written and verbal communication skills.
There will be a need to work flexibly to meet the needs of the Endoscopy service, a commitment to personal/professional development.

This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as an Registered Nurse in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled on a course which means they expect to receive their full NMC PIN within the next 3 months. Please note an NMC PRN PIN is not a full NMC PIN and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role.
The NCA can no longer accept applications from International Nurses who are yet to complete all competencies needed to receive a full NMC PIN to practice in the UK as we have paused our OSCE programme indefinitely.
