Job overview

Due to the expansion of Endoscopy services and the opening of a brand new Endoscopy site at the Oldham Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC), an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Endoscopy Unit Manager primarily based at the offsite CDC. Alongside the CDC, there are 3 endoscopy units at Royal Oldham Hospital, Fairfield General Hospital & Rochdale Infirmary making this one of the largest endoscopy services in the country. With this expansion, there couldn't be a better time to join our team. 

This post is suitable for a current band 6 or above with endoscopy experience.

The Endoscopy Unit manager will support their team to sustain and deliver the highest standards whilst sharing the vision and influencing  change. 

You will establish & maintain effective communication with individuals and groups regarding difficult or complex matters, overcoming any problems in communication.

Develop knowledge and practice in an area of work. Promote best practice in health, safety and security.

Contribute to the development of services. Improve quality.

Promote people's equality, diversity, and rights. Assess people’s health and wellbeing needs, including complex needs. Plan, deliver and evaluate programmes to address patient's complex and changing health and wellbeing needs. Lead work teams in the development of knowledge, ideas and work practice. Allocate, coordinate, monitor and assess the work of teams and individuals. Maintaining the efficient use of physical and financial resource.

This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as an Registered Nurse or Midwife in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled on a course which means they expect to receive their full NMC PIN within the next 3 months. Please note an NMC PRN PIN is not a full NMC PIN and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role.

The NCA can no longer accept applications from International Nurses and Midwives who are yet to complete all competencies needed to receive a full NMC PIN to practice in the UK as we have paused our OSCE programme indefinitely.
