DAFNE Co-ordinator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a DAFNE Co-ordnator to join us to co-ordinate the DAFNE educational courses for the trust. To be responsible for the promotion, booking and management of DAFNE courses.

The post holder will be required to work as part of a team and provide support to the Diabetes Specialist Nurse Admin team when required.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

  •          The post holder will co-ordinate the implementation, planning, preparation, resources and evaluation of the DAFNE course within The Northern Care Alliance.

  • Allocation of patients to DAFNE course at appropriate hospital sites, booking of rooms and venues

  •      Co-ordinate DAFNE courses dates with patients and health professionals

  •       Maintain and update DAFNE waiting list, completed course list and removal from list, DAFNE statistics, and the National DAFNE database

  •         Organise, record and type minutes of any DAFNE meetings

  •   Assisting with travel, accommodation and course bookings for individual DAFNE team members

  •         Contribute to the design and amendment of new template letters used for clinical communications as required.

 Provide non-clinical advice and information to patients / clients / relatives; exercising judgement when dealing with enquiries, analysing and resolving appointments and other non-clinical enquiries.

-       Communicate professionally and effectively

-       Co-ordinate and update Diabetes team, trust departments and local ICBs with patient stats of DAFNE

-       Liaise with Central DAFNE administration and other DAFNE centres as required
