Job overview

To work under the supervision of a pharmacy technician to assist in the delivery of pharmaceutical care to patients within the Trust through the provision of a safe and efficient dispensary service.

Main duties of the job

You will need good communication skills and a pleasant telephone manner. You must be able to work accurately and quickly under pressure and be committed to the delivery of high standards in a patient focused service.

Previous pharmacy experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided, if you do not already hold and NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualification you will be required to study for and gain this qualification. If you already hold a level 4 qualification you may be required to self-fund this qualification. 

There will be a requirement to participate in extended hours working including late nights, weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis.
