Medical Support Secretary – Band 3 – Part Time 22.5hrs per week
Applicants are invited for the permanent (22.5 hours per week) post of Medical Support Secretary. Applicants must demonstrate administrative / secretarial experience, a good understanding of teamwork e proficient in the use of Microsoft applications. Experience in using an electronic patient system would be beneficial but not essential.
Within this role the applicant will support the Medical PA in providing a comprehensive administrative service to the medical / clinical teams within the CAMHS Specialist Services Network.
Main duties of the job
Within this role the applicant will support the Medical PA in providing a comprehensive administrative service to the medical / clinical teams within the CAMHS Specialist Services Network.
The Medical Support Secretary will undertake general office duties including the typing of medical and other correspondence, actioning any requirements identified within the typing. They will answer and manage calls from patients and their carers / relatives and other health and social care professionals.
We require a highly motivated, dynamic individual with excellent communication and organisational skills, who has an interest and positive attitude to working with adolescents. Experience of working within an adolescent mental health team would be desirable.
You will have an organised and flexible approach, with the ability to prioritise your workload and relate to all types of people. Your excellent IT and interpersonal skills will also ensure that you’ll have no trouble fitting into this busy, interesting role.

The post is based with the Inpatient CAMHS Team at Prestwich although there may be a need to work from a different base but this will be within the Trust footprint. There is a need for working flexibly throughout the Network as required.
