Working for our organisation

The Single Point of Access is where all referrals are sent in the HMR area.  These can be from GP, Schools or other services.  We offer full training and support.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The main duties are working at No 1 Riverside where our Single Point of Access is based.  You will be expected to add referrals onto our Paris system (training will be given) as well as phoning patients and arranging telephone consultations with our locality mental health practitioners.  You will also need to send letters out to patients when required.  You could be required to take on other duties such as answering the telephone.

  • Qualifications or experience to NVQ II level.
  • Highly Motivated

  • Experience within a health/social care setting.
  • Effective communication (verbal and written)

  • Able to handle sensitive information with utmost discretion.
  • Good interpersonal skills in order to liaise effectively with people at all levels

  • Able to work on own initiative without close supervision.
  • Capable of prioritising and organising own workload
  • Able to work as a member of a team.
  • Excellent organisational skills

  • Use of a car or access to a means of mobility to travel across the Trust footprint in line with service needs

  • Appointments to regulated and controlled activities require an enhanced DBS disclosure.
