Chair
NHS Non-Executive: NHS Trust Non-Executive Member/Director
Job overview
This represents a rare leadership opportunity, a role of significant scope and profile and one that has the chance to impact the lives of the hundreds of thousands of people we serve.
We are seeking to appoint an individual with excellent leadership qualities, evidenced by a positive track record of inspiring organisations to excel in service delivery, be that in the health sector or a different environment. The new Chair must be able to engage and work collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external senior stakeholders, play an active role in the success of the Greater Manchester system and at all times living and promoting the values of the Northern Care Alliance NHS FT.
We want our Board to be as inclusive and diverse as possible, so will look for individuals who bring lived experience that equips them both for the leadership aspects of the role and that brings an understanding of some of the challenges of our local communities.
Main duties of the job
As an experienced Chair, or Non-Executive Director, you will understand the challenges of leading a large, complex and regulated person focused organisation. Skilled at working with executive teams, you will also bring strong political acumen and enjoy working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that NCA effectively supports the development of emerging system integration across the wider conurbation, through a partnership model with other health and social care providers.
If you have this experience and a passion for improving the lives of patients, families and carers, across all our communities as well as the experience of our colleagues, then please do consider applying for this role.
We want our Board to be as inclusive and diverse as possible, so are keen to hear from individuals who bring lived experience that equips them both for the leadership aspects of the role and an understanding of some of the challenges experienced within our local communities.
Working for our organisation
The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA) provides hospital and integrated health and social care services to over one million people living across Greater Manchester. Our 20,000 colleagues care for people in hospital and in the community, working across Bury, Rochdale, Oldham and Salford, to save and improve lives.
As a large NHS trust we are committed to enhancing the health of our local population by delivering consistently high standards of care and working closely with local authorities and key partners. We believe in our power and potential to make a difference and we’re always looking for people who demonstrate our three core values - care, appreciate and inspire – to join our team.
In return, we can offer you a job role with purpose and flexibility. The size and scale of the NCA means we can provide more challenge and opportunities so your career can always be moving in the right direction. By joining us you can also access a competitive benefits package, including, a fantastic annual leave allowance, flexible working opportunities and protected hours for health and wellbeing activities, helping you to achieve more personal downtime and a better work-life balance.
