We are looking for a forward thinking, passionate  individual with proven experience within Neurosurgical services suitable for a band 7 physiotherapist to join our in-patient  Neurosurgery Team here at Salford Care Organisation. The role will contribute to inpatient and day case patients, covering areas such as critical care, neurosurgical wards, short stay , day case and  spinal wards.  You would be working alongside fellow band 7 Physiotherapists and  band 7 Occupational Therapists managing  a large team of  physiotherapists from band 3 to band 6 level.

• To take a lead role in the advanced assessment and treatment of neurological / neurosurgical patients, who may have complex and /or chronic presentation.
• To determine clinical diagnosis and treatment indicated and maintain records as an autonomous practitioner.
• To lead assessment, liaison, and decision-making processes on behalf of the MDT for patients referred to the service.
• To undertake a significant clinical caseload to a high professional standard using specialist knowledge from theoretical and practical experience.
• To plan, coordinate and evaluate the Physiotherapy Service in own work area provided to neurological / neurosurgical in-patients on a day-to-day basis, and to cover for any other area with this specific caseload as necessary.
• Act as a clinical adviser for neurosurgery patients within the trust footprint.
• To be able to work across 7 days, contributing to weekend working and to the respiratory on-call rota.
