We are looking for an enthusiastic, patient focused, progressive Radiographer, to join our rotational team. Candidates must be good team players and able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, and communication skills.

You would join our group of rotational radiographers who complete four week blocks of shifts per modality.  As a Band 6 you would help to train and mentor new radiographers passing into the areas. As an expert in their field, they would help support the senior team in complex cases, and day to day running of the department.

We would be interested to hear from candidates with previous experience or those at a lower band who wish to expand their skills and partake in our band 5 to 6 progression scheme.

Salford Royal is an organisation that aims to be the safest in the NHS through providing safe, clean, and personal care to every patient, every time.

Please note that this vacancy is only open to internal members of Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust.

Main duties of the job

The Radiology team at Salford is an exciting, expanding place to work, with excellent opportunities to increase skills.

To help support the lead and clinical specialist radiographers , you would be expected to assist in taking a leading role and assist in daily running of the services.

The department provides a 24/7 acute service for IAT. You would be expected to partake in the service, including partaking on our on call system. All radiographers are expected to support 24/7 working 365 days per year. This pioneering service will give an opportunity, to help make a difference.

Salford Royal will soon open a new trauma unit, which includes a hybrid theatre. As a Radiographer this offers an opportunity to perform the latest imaging techniques, within a new trauma hybrid theatre.

The department is progressive and opportunities for CPD are available. Advanced practice is new to the department and there could be opportunities to learn skills that could help you apply for positions in the future.
