Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Community COPD team.
We are looking to recruit an administrator to co-ordinate and organise the day to day administrative duties of the community COPD service. The role will involve general clerical and administrative duties suiting an organised, motivated and enthusiastic individual. The ideal candidate must demonstrate their ability to be adaptable to change and thrive in an environment with a varied workload.
At present, the service provides cover Monday to Friday. Flexible working hours are negotiable.
Main duties of the job
- To focus on supporting the administrative duties associated with the provision of the community COPD service.
- This administrative role is key to the effectiveness and efficient functioning of the service, therefore will require robust organisational, communication skills and a positive approach to customer service.
- General clerical duties, administrative and telephone related tasks.
- The inputting of data onto EMIS – including the booking, amending and cancelling of patient appointments.
- The typing of correspondence to general practitioners (GP)
- Work alongside the established Community COPD service, supporting general clerical duties.
- Dealing promptly with a wide range of enquires from patients, relatives and carers.
- To work flexibly to support other community services as required.

If successful this vacancy will require a Standard DBS check at a cost of £21.90. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary
In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £13.
