Band 7-District Nurse Team Leader- full time position . You will need to be a Specialist Practitioner in District Nursing

Have a sound knowledge of current issues relating to community nursing and be able to demonstrate clinical expertise and leadership in practice.

 

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a Band 7 Nurse who is flexible, innovative practitioner with a variety of clinical skills. The post is up to full time, based with  Heaton's PCN District Nurse team 

Our work in Primary Care Networks is at the very heart of Stockport Neighbourhood Care. Services which is offered seven days a week to help people remain healthy and build independence. The aim being that the “right care is delivered to the right people at the right time”.

As a District Nurse team leader you will be working in the Primary Care Networks , working in partnership with social care colleagues , primary and secondary care.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The post holder should have good organisational and assessment skills be flexible and wiling to cover the service between 8am and  18.00.

This post requires good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to be adaptable, reliable and approachable. In addition you will need to be able to demonstrate up to date knowledge on relevant nursing issues . The post holder will need to lone work, and be a car driver and have a car available for work.

The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and promote safeguarding by implementing the Trust’s policies and procedures, acting promptly on concerns, communicating effectively and sharing information appropriately.

If successful this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £41.90. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary

In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £13.

  • Has a broad range of specialist knowledge within sphere of responsibility
  • Evidence of leadership skills at sr level. Able to demonstrate leadership development
  • Understanding of NHS performance management.
  • Knowledge of Government legislation and guidance pertaining to the role, especially in relation to health and social care integration
