We are currently recruiting for two senior sister/charge nurse positions in our Emergency Department:
- X1 Full-time position
- X1 x30- hour position
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual that thrives in a fast paced environment who aspires to deliver high quality care within a team of innovative professionals where every individual’s contribution is valued.
This role comes at an exciting time, as we prepare to transition into a new- state-of-art Emergency Department which is part of a large Emergency Village.
This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of innovation in Emergency Care. As a senior sister/charge nurse you will play a key role in shaping the transition into new ED whilst maintaining high standards of care. Your leadership will be essential in embedding new ways of working, supporting your team, and delivering the best outcomes for patients.

Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities:
Clinical Leadership- Oversee the day-to-day running of the ED ensuring safe and efficient patient care and patient flow
Staff management- supervise, mentor and support nursing staff, fostering professional development
Patient Care- Ensure high standards of care, focusing on patient safety, dignity and experience
Service Development- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of emergency care services, adapting to evolving clinical needs
Collaboration- work closely with Doctors, allied health professionals and operations teams
Resource management- ensure appropriate use of staffing, equipment and facilities

If successful this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £45.50. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary
In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £16.
