Job overview

Band 2 –  Switchboard Operator – Stepping Hill Hospital

Nightshift Hours 

 18 hours per week  22.00 - 07.00 worked over a three week rota.

The above hours are core hours , however the successful applicant will be required to work flexibly within the rota to  cover other shifts due to absence due to sickness or annual leave on the evening and night shift at short notice.   We are based at Stepping Hill Hospital, Stockport NHS Foundation Trust, the post holder will be required to work as part of a friendly team providing a full comprehensive service for the Trust covering all aspects of the Switch board. NHS and switchboard experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given to the successful applicant.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for someone who promotes excellent customer service skills which will help support the smooth and efficient running of the switchboard which will enable good first impressions to our staff, patients and visitors to the hospital. Flexibility is required should other shifts need to be covered at short notice.
