Job overview
An exciting opportunity has been created by the expansion of the Trafford Elective Surgical Hub at Trafford General Hospital. The Pre-operative assessment service requires a permanent, full time unit manager. The role is 37.5 hours a week, working hours are 08.30-16.30 five days a week, Monday- Friday and flexible working can be considered.
The Pre-op Unit Manager role is a pivotal one, providing exceptional and inspirational leadership to a defined clinical environment.
There are a number of strands to this leadership role - professional, personnel, clinical, operational and managerial.
The Unit Manager will ensure that staff work to a high standard, are continuously developed in their career pathways and work collaboratively as a team to consistently deliver world class standards of care.
Main duties of the job
Managing the Pre-op Unit Clinical team.
Providing clinical leadership.
Driving service improvement to ensure the GIRFT Preoperative assessment services guidance is met
