Job overview

Thanks to investment we are able to recruit 2.6 WTE band 3 administrators to work within our mental health support teams across Bury, HMR, Oldham(North), Tameside and Stockport (south) bases. Admin will cover north or south of the trust

The administrators would work alongside the band 4 admin leads, supporting the administration duties of the team

Administrative duties such as typing letters/reports, scanning, printing and posting, answering telephone calls in a polite and courteous manner. To create and upload documents electronically and to electronically send letters to GP's. There are times when you will need to cancel clinics . Further details can be found in the JD

Essential criteria
  • Education
  • Achieved grades
  • good level of education including English
  • RSA 3 or equivalent
  • Experience within a health/social care setting.
  • Experience of working within a highly stressful environment.
  • Ability to work well and efficiently under pressure.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure when dealing with stressful working conditions.
  • Customer care skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Good decision making and problem solving skills
  • Competence with working on Microsoft Office Suite
  • Use of a car or access to a means of mobility to travel across the Trust footprint in line with service needs
  • Willing to carry out all duties and responsibilities of the post in accordance with the Trust’s Equal Opportunities and Equality and Diversity policies
  • Appointments to regulated and controlled activities require an enhanced DBS disclosure.
Desirable criteria
  • ECDL
  • NHS experience
  • Previous experience within mental health teams.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective utilisation of resources
  • Awareness of Paris system
