The post holder will be tasked with facilitation of training within the oral health Promotion programme to staff in early years settings, schools and care homes within Knowsley. This will include promoting the oral
health agenda and providing support and training to staff working in the target groups. The post holder will deliver the formal training programme and provide guidance to staff in settings where necessary to
increase prevalence of good oral health.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will facilitate supervised tooth brushing programmes in early years settings. This will rely on the development of relationships with  stakeholders, to encourage engagement with the programme; training staff to deliver a supervised tooth brushing scheme and completing quality assurance visits to assess the effective delivery of the scheme.

The post holder will promote good oral health practice in care homes by delivering training on Mouth Care Matters. This post holder will liaise with stakeholders in Care Homes to arrange training to be delivered at suitable times and venues.
