BAND 2 RECEPTIONIST/CLERICAL OFFICER
37.5 hours per week - flexible working 8.00 am - 8.00 pm
This busy X-Ray Department based at LUFT has a full time band 2 receptionist/clerical officer post available to work cross site at Aintree and Litherland Health Centre.
This post will involve working as part of our reception/clerical team encompassing all the reception desks of the Directorate.
Candidates must possess excellent organisational, communication and IT skills to be able to provide an optimum level of customer service to patients, both in person and over the telephone.
The post holder must be self-motivated, work well under pressure and enjoy working with a diversity of people
The successful candidate will work in a friendly environment with a proactive team who will assist in your personal development. You should have a kind, efficient and respectful approach and will need to be able to remain calm and professional in this busy Imaging Department.
Training will be given for the Radiology System.
NHS experience is desirable.
Main duties of the job
To carry out reception and administration duties, inputting and extracting data onto the patient administration system (PAS) and the departmental CRIS system (Computerised Radiology Information System, CRIS) and to search the patient database for existing records, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.

Maintain a high standard in all aspects of work
To rotate to all areas of the Radiology department, including Main X-ray, CT/MR, Ultrasound, A+E X-ray. Nuclear Medicine
To input and extract data onto the patient administration system (PAS) and the departmental RIS system (Computerised Radiology Information System, CRIS) and to search the patient database for existing records, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
Reception duties for all areas of the Radiology department, including enquiries from medical staff, other hospitals, GP’s and members of the public.
Dealing with telephone and direct communication enquiries from the public and other health professions.
Sending and retrieval of faxes on a daily basis.
Co-operation with and provision of assistance where necessary to all medical, nursing and other hospital staff.
