This will primarily focus on the hepatobiliary endoscopy training and delivery of lower GI diagnostic endoscopy . In addition, other duties will include research, audit, administration and continuing medical education. A job plan of the fixed sessions is available. Please note that this timetable may be subject to change following current reorganisation of outpatient and endoscopy sessions. Further discussions and changes to the job plan can be accommodated to individual candidate’s requirements on mutual consent.

We would be keen to support the initial, supported delivery of training and Train the Trainer accreditation if required.

The appointed candidate will be expected be involved in the MDT pathways for patient discussion, clinics  and management in addition to ERCP and EUS training.

A training programme will be tailored to the individuals needs and will concentrate on particular areas concentrating on hepatobiliary endoscopy. Depending on individual needs,  exposure and training in other aspects of therapeutic endoscopy can be accommodated.  In addition, there will also be training within the wider service including MDT and clinic.

As part of the fellowship, regular appraisals will be undertaken.

All medical staff are expected to participate in Medical Audit.  Regular bi-monthly audit meetings are organised in the department, and the appointee will be expected to participate.
