Due to an exciting redesign of our clinical pharmacy service we have a number of opportunities for enthusiastic pharmacists to come and join our growing team!
Prior experience in cancer care in not required as you will be fully supported and trained by our friendly, dedicated team; you do require a thirst to learn and a passion to deliver patient centered care.
Clatterbridge is an exciting place to continue your clinical pharmacy journey in a purpose built city center hospital in Liverpool with state of the art facilities, working within a cutting edge clinical environment. This role represents an opportunity to develop and further progress in the rewarding specialty that is cancer care. The successful candidates will also receive mentoring and support to grow as a leader.
Clatterbridge Cancer Centre provides excellent cancer care to patients across the North West (including North Wales and the Isle of Man). We have 3 site locations; the central Liverpool site and hub sites in the Wirral and Aintree.
Working pattern will be 37.5 hours per week which includes weekends. Contribution to the Bank holiday and on-call rota will be part of the post. For a detailed list of our employee benefits, please see the attached documents to this vacancy.
Main duties of the job
In this role you will work alongside medical and nursing colleagues, as part of the Multi Disciplinary Team to deliver direct patient facing care on wards and in outpatient clinics. You will be an integral part of your specialty oncology or haemato-oncology team as well as the wider pharmacy team.
You will also have the opportunity to work within the Aseptic Production Unit, quality assessing and releasing chemotherapy and in our wholly owned subsidiary, developing leadership skills as the Responsible Pharmacist.

Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
- Demonstrable post qualification hospital experience

Qualification
Essential criteria
- Master of Pharmacy (Hons.) or equivalent
- General Pharmaceutical Council registration
- Postgraduate diploma (or working towards) in clinical pharmacy or equivalent.
Experience

- Clinical pharmacy experience, in hospital or GP environment.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
